I use doTERRA Essential Oils in almost all of the massage and Reiki sessions I give including a clinical application called the AromaTouch Technique. Which oils I choose depends on what is going on for my client.  Oils I usually use  include  Balance (for grounding, balance, and relaxation), AromaTouch (to sooth sore muscles, anti-inflammation and help with increasing circulation), Wild Orange (it’s uplifting and promotes homeostasis), and Lavender (relaxing and pretty much helpful for any issue).  If the oils are going to help with a condition, you should be able to feel the effects within a few seconds after they are applied. Afterward, the benefits last a few hours.

I use doTERRA oils in my daily health care regiment because they are a safe, fun, and healthy way to keep my body, mind, and spirit enhanced and balanced.  I treat them as my medicine kit to go to if an issue strikes. But daily, I take On-Guard with hot lemon water in the morning for immune support, brush my teeth with Myrrh, use Balance for whole body balancing on my feet, Elevation for energy and uplifting my mood, and Frankincense and Whisper on my neck as my scents of choice to smell yummy.

If you would like to add doTERRA essential oils to your life more regularly, you can order through my webpage: mydoterra.com/meghanquinn and keep up on tips and deals through my blog at quinnessentialdoterra.com. Now through June 1st is a great time to order as an Independent Product Consultant where you get 25% retail for life and the $50 enrollment fee is refunded in the form of a product voucher. A true win-win!

You are always welcome to email or call with any questions. There is a free monthly info/sharing night in Eugene the second Tuesday, (6:30-8pm) at the home of Jan Meredith (phone 541-343-6543 for directions). All are welcome, I always go, and it’s a great chance to try out a bunch of the oils! I always have a lot of fun and learn so much new information on subjects like green cleaning, skin care, weight management, immune system support etc.

Be well!

Feel good!

Love, Meghan

Though a rarity for me,  I have been feeling a little congested the last few days – coughing, runny nose, and scratchy throat. I took out my handy “Modern Essentials” reference book on essential oils to learn which oils I could use as allies to combat this imbalance. After learning who would be my best helpers I took action. My results: At home and in my office I have been diffusing doTERRA eucalyptus and peppermint essential oils into the air and applying On Guard to my neck and chest. After only a day or so of that, my symptoms are almost gone!

Congestion is the blockage of the nasal passages, sinuses, or upper respiratory tract due to inflamed tissues and blood vessels or to an increased output of mucus. Congestion can make it difficult to breathe freely and can sometimes cause pain.

Primary recommendations: Eucalyptus, peppermint, and Breathe blend (by doTERRA)
Secondary recommendations: cinnamon, cypress, and melaleuca

All of these oils may be applied topically or diffused into the air, except cinnamon, which is only to be used aromatically.

Breathe blend

Breathe blend

A cough is a sudden explosive release of air from the lungs to help clear an excess of mucus, an irritant, or other materials from the airway. Coughing can be caused by foreign material entering the airway or by an infection, asthma, or other medical problem. Proper hydration or steam inhalation can help loosen thick secretions, making them easier to eliminate.

Primary recommendations: Breathe blend, melaleuca, eucalyptus, frankincense, On Guard blend
Secondary recommendations: peppermint, white fir, and sandalwood

All of these oils may be applied topically to the skin or be diffused into the air.

I also like to use a netti pot of warm sea-salt water to clear  my nasal passages, a hot bath up to my waist to draw congestion out of my head, and drink plenty of water when I am feeling unbalanced.
